Why isn't the Live TV Guide Background changeable?

Usually I kinda like the transparent background but it can be too hard to read in certain areas. On the options screen there should be an option to set a solid background.
(I'm sure someone has to have suggested this but I'm a new Tivo owner and the suggestion has to be long gone by now)

I agree! The words seem harder to read with version 2.0.1 than it did with 1.3 http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/frown.gif The background seems more transparent than before. I sure wish I could change it to something a little less transparent. Maybe they could give us 3-4 levels of transparency to choose from?

And yet, some of us are campaigning to have the rest of the menus become transparent. http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/biggrin.gif AS AN OPTION, of course.

I'm sorry, but I fail to understand this. I guess when I watch a program, I want it to fill the whole screen. This is the same reason why I don't like PiP.
Regardless, count me in as one who wants the option to have a solid background for the guide. http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Not to mention with no audio...

Oh, wouldn't it be great if I was crazy? Then the world would be okay.
