I am (so far) really enjoying the newer episodes.

I am glad we got to see Bats in action. I wish they would include him in more episodes. Cracked me up when he stopped for triple espresso and him humming Frerazhaka (i know wrong spelling) in his head to distract Doctor Destiny.

Great episode ... where was Wonder Woman????

I haven't watched it yet (hopefully tonight), but I would agree that the newer eps have been getting better. Are they beginning to give Batman a sense of humor, though? I know he's gonna have a really dry wit, but I've always felt that if they give him too many one liners, they might as well get Adam West back. I hope it doesn't reach that point.

Not one liners per say ... just cocky!

Like the last episode with AMAZO ... When Hawk-Girl saw that he was carrying green Kryptonite and he quipped a boy-scout montra like "never hurts to be prepared" ... that was funny to me!

I just love the fact that they're actually making Batman to be like he is in the comics ... equal or better than his JL counterparts.

I think you'll enjoy the episode!

I enjoyed it also, but what was with that funky arrangement of "Frere Jacques" ("Brother John" in French) that Batman played on the Batmobile stereo?

According to the captions it was an Ad.

Frere Jacques!!! I was way off ...

I thought Bats hummed it to make Doc D get it in his head too ... you know, like a song, that you cant stop singing ... to distract his focus!

I would've been humming any number of ABBA or Shania Twain tunes. That would've sent Doctor Destiny right over the edge. :D

I've noticed that Bats is the smartest guy in the league, Supes gets beaten up a lot, Jonn Jonzz is a combo of Marvel's Vision and Professor X, and Flash is practically useless. (Replace him with the Elongated Man -- Ralph is MUCH funnier.)

Interesting how Wonder Woman wasn't in "Only a Dream." Are the writers contractually obligated to give one character a rest in every episode?

I thought it was a pretty good episode, too. It was cool to run into past supporting characters and villains from other shows (Lois, Jimmy, Firefly, etc.)

I especially liked that we get both episodes of the storyline in the same night instead of stretching it out over two or three weeks, like they did last season. I hope this doesn't change, although I realize that could mean a very short season...

I figured that was part of it as well, especially since Dr. D was humming it in his catotonic state at the end of the episode.

I really liked this episode. I've noticed that the past two have had a lot fewer ridiculous battles like season 1 had. Sure, there are battles, but they seem to be fighting for a reason. So many times in season 1 they'd just be fighting to cause destruction.

And, of course, Batman had the star role again. I think the writers are learning who the most important character is. They're also learning who he is, and doing a pretty decent job writing for him.
