SP priorities problem

Hey all, I just got done going through and prioritizing my SP's. It went pretty smoothly but I've run into a small problem, 2 of my favorite shows that I have SP's for are on the same night and the same time which makes it tricky to prioritize because if I set one above the other in priority scale the one that is higher in priority is going to get recorded and the other one won't be recorded which could make me miss it. Any suggestions as to what I could do about this so both of my SP's get recorded and I don't miss them. Is there a seting I could change or something? thanks.

Maybe I'm reading your question wrong, but unless you've got a DirecTiVo, you can only record one thing at a time.

If one of your programs is replayed again at a later time or day, put that one at #2. ST:Enterprise on my UPN station, for example, runs at 9pm on Wednesdays and again Sunday afternoon.

The whole purpose of the Season Pass Manager is to allow you to prioritize your recordings, so that that ONE that is most important to you gets recorded when there is a conflict with another recording. Unless you have a DirecTiVo, in which case the TWO shows that are most important to you will be recorded when conflicts occur. Your TiVo is working properly. Do not adjust your settings. Do however, look for an alternate timeslot for each of the conflicted shows, then adjust your priorities accordingly. And finally, if that fails choose from the following options (not ranked in any particular order):

1) Get another TiVo
2) Dust off the VCR
3) Take your chances, and try to guess which show will be shown again during summer re-runs. Don't TiVo that show.
4) Watch one show while TiVo records the other.

I don't have a DirectTiVo. I was thinking one of my shows may air on another date but I'm not sure. I'm partially sure that at least one (The O.C) runs a encore episode, or at least they used to. Does NBC air any encore showings of their weekly West Wing episode? that might help me.

Ask your TiVo. Pull up the entry in the ToDo list or SP Manager, select "view upcoming episodes", and scroll through looking for a repeat.
