Hi fello TiVo fans,I have been noticing that many of us here brainstorming ideas for new suggestions have agreed on a few thing we all would appreciate to have. Yes, you all know Commercial and 30 sec. Skip, folders, faster modems, HDTV suppourt etc. I noticed that the ReplayTV 4000 has all of our suggestions. I was amazed to see how accurate they were in relation to our ideas. After visiting the suggestions for ReplayTV on AVS forum -nothing like our suggestions were on it. I think Replay is taking our suggestions to get more viewers who are set on TiVo. As a loyal fan I will tell you that is not going to happen anytime soon! That is why I want the people at TiVo to listen to their fans in this post. They are doing a great job but one thing that seems may be the cause for TIVO losing cash and happier customers is the absense of commercial pass or skip or whatever might assist us with being able to watch shows without commercials like ReplayTV viewers and those who have fancy VCR's. Other suggestions I suppourt as well, but I can wait a little longer for folders-most of us have only so many shows anyway, a modem would be a hardware upgrade-which I don't want right now, and 30-sec skip is here. Commercial Skip is something that will benifit us all and I think would be great for TiVo to start adding to their new software. I have heard the complaints about why it might not happen such as "Since TiVo needs suppourt from their networks they cannot have anything like commercial pass or skip, because the networks make money off this. We have come up with several solutions to this problem like setting flags manually, just having the TiVo automatically fast-forward it for us till the show comes back on, several other things that resolve that problem. Also many of you say that you want to see some commercials like movie trailers or such, which I do to, ReplayTV's commercial skip function allows you to watch it with commercials if you want resolving that problem. Commercial Pass would definetely give us a better viewing experience. I know TiVo acknowledges this site, even on their own official website that is why I want this post to be heard so anyone and everyone who wants this, likes this, or just likes the idea just simply say "I"[/b]and let this become a sort of petition so TiVo can learn that many of us would enjoy a function like this. Long live TiVo.
