Is anybody else watching this show? I'm watching it and really enjoying it so far. I do have a few questions to discuss though if anybody else is watching it.

I'm watcing it, and the other one on USA, House Wars... House Wars blows compared to House Rules, partially because House Rules is about building your dream house, and it has a good host, and House Wars is about building your dream house as designed by someone who has both no taste and a disregard for your taste, and has a complete dimbulb for a host. But I am strangely compelled to watch both.

My problem with House Rules is that you just know these people couldn't possibly have the knowledge to do some of the things they are doing. I noticed on the TBS site that they mention that certain "big" things are handled by Lowes' people.

I would like to see them be able to "meet" with a designer/contractor at least once per project. Kind of like that show Ground Rules where you get one, 30 minute consultation with the designer to ask questions.

well, on House Wars, they DO have a designer... maybe you want to check that out? but the majority of the show is spent with them fighting with the designer instead of working with them it seems.

I love both. stumbled on to them by accident but am very pleased about that!! =)

faerie, yes, House Wars has the designer, but house rules does not...

I really was wondering how they were going to do some things on house rules. I mean, how do they know the electrical and plumbing codes in the state they are in? And do they really know enough to remodel a whole house? I think at that point they'd really need a professional...

Yeah, I got nervous when they started ripping down walls. How much of a waste was that newlywed's bathroom? They took at 2 huge closets which are a premium when going to sell a house and just made this huge/empty master bathroom.

I am anxiously awaiting the finale...

Does anyone else wonder if Joey proposes to Rebecca to try and seal the deal to win the house? They seem pretty nervous over the newlyweds winning... (I don't know if this is true, and I hope not, but it is something I wonder)

I don't know if I want Joe and Rebecca or Bill and Cindy to win. I've been really impressed with both of their work, and both have done some amazing things...

no...last week's episode was the "room of choice" where the "producers" picked a room for each couple to do. I can't find a recap on their website but R&J had to do their garage (what a crapy room to pick for them), A&K got to do their front bedroom w/ bathroom, and B&C got to do their living room.

OK, I guess I somehow am an episode behind then, because I thought that was THIS week's episode. Since Tivo picks up 5 copies on Friday, I must have gotten behind somehow.

well they seem to air 4-5 episodes every friday night/sat morning where I am.
