Help -- can't play recordings

Greetings,

I have a HDVR2 that I just bought, and promptly upgraded to a 120GB Maxtor drive. Very little extra hacking done, basically just bash.

I'm getting the following entries in tverr:

Oct 27 02:03:12 (none) mediamgr[184]: 0x40001 at line 2230(mmguts.C)
Oct 27 02:03:12 (none) mediamgr[184]: 0x40001 at line 1805(mmguts.C)
Oct 27 02:03:12 (none) TvVideoLoopsetProxy::LeadIn[184]: PlayLoopset failed with 0x40001

They show up when I hit the "DirectTV" button to go to the main menu. Everything seems to work fine except for two things:

1. If I try to select "What's Playing", I get a message saying that there has been a hardware error, and that I should reboot the TiVo. I've done the reboot several times, still no worky.

2. If I do "Search by Title", I get a blank screen. If I hit the right arrow at this point, I get the screen I expected to get in the first place.

Anybody have any ideas? I saw a post from someone who had this exact situation, but his cleared up on its own. I've been experiencing this problem for several days, so I don't expect it to resolve itself anytime soon :D.

Thanks,

Dave

Did you image the drive from a different TiVo? If so you need to do a Clear and Delete Everything.

I imaged the drive using an older version of the OS that I got online. The version that came with my recorder doesn't support the hack to get bash access.

I'll give that a try, thanks!

Dave
