What Channels have you eliminated from your lineup

I think it is great that Tivo lets you eliminate channels from your lineup. I just wonder what people have eliminated.
I elimanted Trinity Broadcasting Network, Eternal Word Network, Country Music, Food, Univision (Spanish language) and a shopping channel.

I have removed all the religious channels and all the shopping channels. I had to redo guided setup the other day (cable company name change) and should have taken the country music channels off but haven't yet.

All religious and shopping channels have been removed from my DVR the day I found out I could.

Same thing but I also killed CMT.

While in principle I should remove all religious and shopping channels, I never did, and probably never will. I rarely rarely browse around, so it doesn't matter much. Occasionally I have to kill off some spanish language suggestions, but that's the only real annoyance.

All religious channels
All Spanish language channels
All shopping channels
I never channel surf and don't have Suggestions turned on, I took them all off the list just to feel good.

The TV guide channel.
All religious channels.
All shopping channels.
All foreign language channels.
A bunch of music channels.
The golf channel.
The auto racing channel.
CMTV.
PAX.
PPV.
And all the channels I don't get, of course. :)

I sense a trend about the spanish, religious and shopping channels... hehe.

I eliminate nothing. My mind is not so closed that I disregard the possibility that some of the shitier channels might put on 5 minutes of something decent that my TiVo can get for me.

I eliminated that Spanish Religious Shopping channel. I did not want to be tempted to buy a "La cruz brillante grande."
Posted by: Knative
Only those I don't receive, including the seemingly never ending battle against the various sport bundles (NFL, NBA, MLS, etc) that seem to repopulate themselves at the start of their respective seasons.
I don't do any surfing, so why limit my wishlists?

In addition to the requisite Shopping and Spanish channels, I have the golf channel removed.
Posted by: bidger
I've only eliminated the Sorts packages I don't subscribe to, which is everything except NFL ST. I don't PPV often, but I couldn't pass up the $2.99 Tues. in Oct. to do a letter-box DD5.1 airing of "LOTR: The Two Towers". Oh, and I blocked out the pron channels, not because I'm a prude. Let's just say, their content doesn't meet my standards.

Heh
After 20 years of watching TV,
I've never bought from QVC
You say "close minded", but we're not
Don't be fooled by the channels we've got
I've also eliminated the tv of spike.
Cause ohhh baby, I know what I like.
Don't give me any sports
or shows about courts
unless they're at night
and Moll is in sight
As for spanish, I can't speak a bit
Except for tequilla, but that's about it
And cspan is just a bunch of old men
Politicians living their lives in sin
And as for theology, a topic so heated
But on my tivo, they're all DELETED!
As an agnostic, why should it all matter.
When all of them spout the same old blather.

lordargent, wow! good poem. After reading that it makes me wonder why I've only gotten rid of the Spanish channel from my lineup.
Of course, the Spanish channel does have one redeeming quality to it, and that is when the TiVo records one of their party shows with the spanish girls dancing around in bikinis on sunny beaches in Miami or South America as a suggestion for me. :)

I do channel surf so I got rid of a few of my channels.
I was surprized at someone getting rid of CNBC, who had no also gotten rid of their other news channels.
I hate Fox news but I kept it because they do occassionally have something I want to watch such as a debate.
I wish there would be a channel of religious shows that had all sorts of programs from different types of religion on them but all you can get is evangelical Christianity and Catholicism. (I will restore EWTN when the Pope dies so I can watch the process from the Vatican of selecting a new one.)
I didn't eliminate BET because they had a fun show called Hey, Monie and they have movies.

Agreed, except I delete the PPV channels since I never order them and I don't want to scroll through them in the guide. I'll probably delete the sports packages I don't subscribe to as well.

Like many here, I got rid of all the shopping, religious and Spanish channels. Oddly enough, I kept the Chinese channel. I don't know why, I just like having it there.
I also deleted the PPV channels-- I can get to 'em if I need 'em but I really only use a PPV once in a blue moon and that blue moon comes along even less now that I've got DirecTv/TiVo.
Also gone: All the sports channels except Speed (my wife likes motorcycles), Outdoor Life Network (hunting dog competitons, the running of the bulls-- what is not to love?) and whatever that all-extreme sports one is.. uh, oh yeah Fuel TV. The ones that I kept don't get a lot of viewing, but I like to have the option.

The only thing I've gotten rid of is PPV channels and the east/westcoast affiliates for NBC, CBS etc since I do not receive them. Everything else I keep in. I love TNT (or is it TNN) when they show that James Bond so that's staying. I keep all my news stations as when something big happens, I want to have all the access I can to it!!

-All the religious channels
-All the shopping channels
-All the Music Choice channels
-Food Network
-Fox News
-Game Show Network
-PAX
-SoapNet
-Speed Channel
-The Weather Channel
-Nickelodeon & Disney(west) Don't really need these channels twice, as they seldom have anything I want to watch, so I just stick with the eastcoast feeds

I've been thinking of eliminating BET to get rid of the unwanted matches of a Wishlist to movies starring James Bond III.
Posted by: swinca
Most of the Spanish Channels. I kept Telemundo because they were showing WNBA games.
MTV.
The Golf Channel.
All of the sports channels that don't show WNBA games.
All of the channels that I don't get.
Both of the CSPANs.

I actually keep the PPV active because I have a wishlist for PPV:Special to catch the $1.99 PPV specials. I'm cheap. :D

How does that happen, anyway? I have new MLB and NBA channels every year.
I only delete channels I truly don't receive, and HBOL, because my DTivo keeps wanting to record two of everything on HBO.
On favorite channels, however, I've removed just about everything -- I think I'm down to 20.
I also love the filtering feature - on Sundays, just set it to "Football" and flip all you want. Or "Movies" and find something you like. But like Knative said, surfing is rare.

Somebody said they eliminated History channel and Discovery. Since those are my favorite channels, can you tell me why?
Posted by: Attack
I removed the History and Discovery channels because I don't watch those channels. I have watched them in the past over the summer when I don't really see anything on, but I starting reading more books and with 30+ SP on 3 SA TiVo's that doesn't leave much time for channel surfing anymore.
Oh and I also started to watch Anime (Fan Subed)
