So, do you think they'll explain what happened to Palmer at the end of last season? Spoilers for those of you avoiding the previews of tonight's episode:

Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)
We know Palmer's alive as we've seen him in the promos for tonight.

I think they will ...

Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)
Im not sure if anyone has watched the 3 minute trailer that TiVo sent but the new season looks good <Ill even go out on a limb to say that it might be better than last season ... Jack has a partner this time (from the trailer he seams to do a good job)> ... wasnt Kim supposed to be a lesbian this time ... she seems to be dating the "partner" (is he transexual).

All in all ... looks to be a good season!!!

Is the TiVo trailer the same as the video preview Fox has on their site?

MalachiNY, the Kim rumor you refer to
Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)
was a misunderstanding of a leak. The leak was that Kim was concealing her love life from her father because he wouldn't understand or something; somebody at Ain't It Cool joked that she had turned lesbian, and the story caught on. In fact, it apparently turns out, she's dating a co-worker (the partner, isn't it?), hence her desire to keep it secret.

(How do you guys do these spoler tags?)

24: Day 3 takes place 3 years after Day 2, if that helps.

How did you manage that? I keep trying to get rid of mine -- even deleting channels that are suspect (581, 582...)

Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)

Thanks, Mike

ok ..
Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)
Iwas kiddiing about the transexual crack ... yeah it does seem from the 3-min. trailer refers to them dating.

What does everyone think of jack having a partner??? Me?! I dont mind it ... he seems pretty intense from what the trailer shows ... and not just Jack dragging him along ... looks as though Jack has been a "mentor" for him over the past 2 years ... you know - *tight*

Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)
I think the mentor thing could possibly work, depending on how they do it. I wonder if they're doing this in case Keifer decides that he's tired of doing the show at some point in the future...?

Are you on Comcast?

Posted by: cheerdude

As someone else posted - I am not sure if I am more excited about the season opener of 24.... or the season finale of Joe Schmoe. Thankfully, Schmoe is repeated throughout the week; so I'll record it later tonight after 24.

Need to watch 24 tonight (not necessarly live) so I can talk about it the next day.

Yes, I think they'll explain it. And I'll even speculate that
Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)
the virus is a deadlier strain of the same thing Palmer was exposed to, and it will in some way effect his judgement.

Yup, where ya been? Comcast is well known for preempting the Teleworld programming on Discovery channel. They run their own paid programming.

I'm on comcast, but I always get those yellow star advertisements.

Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)
They got rid of Kate pretty quickly.
This season looks good. Can't wait for more 24!

Well, it's over. Seems darker so far.

Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)
Jack's a drug addict now, eh? I forsee much conflicting over that ahead, possibly with Chapelle/a Chapelle-like figure finding out and nearly pulling Bauer (but we can't have that happen, now can we?)

And it's nice to see Kim having a functional purpose so far, rather then the complete lack of anything remotely to do with the plot last season. Although it's odd, she didn't seem like much of a geek in the previous two seasons.

Lastly, is Sarah Wynter (aka Kate Warner) just a guest star in this season? I'm too lazy to run downstairs and check, but I'm wondering if she's going to play any role other then the marginal one in this episode. That could be a good or a bad thing...

Also, that Ford movie "The Donation" I found to be a pretty bad rip-off of The Hire films by BMW. With the BMW films they weren't really "advertising" the cars, they were just short films that happened to have BMWs in them, and most of them were tasteful and didn't seem anywhere near as corny. This one just felt rather cheesy and sloppy... still, I guess I prefer it to the generic "Ford cars driving around" ads of last season.

Overall, looks to be as good as ever. Can't wait for next week...

They didn't sign Sarah Wynter, nor Penny Johnson-Jerald (Sherry Palmer).. so they said they will appear in a few episodes, but not be regular, recurring characters like the past few years..

We need a spoiler thread...

Odd.. Wynter IIRC was quoted in Maxim over the summer saying she was going to be in this season, and it seemed to be a fairly big role. Maybe it was misdirection.
