Yeah - that was weird. They replaced her with someone that looks almost the same - but it was noticeable.

I stopped watching this show last year but I watched the season premier last night and it was fantastic.

Could somebody explain to me what happaned with Fez and Eric's sister that they got married?

Fez needed a way to legally stay in the US, and she was willing, :)
That gave Red his heart attack. :D

If I remember correctly, the original actress had problems with drugs, so they ended up needing to find someone else to play the role.

OK, I guess I missed the last show last year. I don't remember Fez and Lauren getting married nor Red having a heart attack. Was that the last episode last season?

Well that just sucks. I wish these people could hold their lives together better. I read that Chong was cut because of his drug paraphenalia arrest. Originally I thought he left on his own. So that is now two minor but funny characters out.

New actress. Laurie (classic) was Lisa Robin Kelly. Laurie mk. II is portrayed by Christina Moore, formerly of "Mad TV."

Original Laurie was definitely shorter than new Laurie, and original Laurie was portrayed as slutty and devious. Not much to go on so far, but new Laurie appears to be cluelss but benign.

I immediately noticed that Laurie was not the same actress. It's still early, I don't think they're going to change her personality.
