Yesterday's Bachelor (spoiler)

I wasn't too please with his selections. As you viewers know, it was down to four people, and he had to pick 3. Here's how I would rank the four, in order of how desirable/attractive I would rate them, in order from best to worst:

1. Kelly Jo
2. Meridith
3. Mary
4. Estella

The one he dumped was #2. Of course I wish he'd of dumped #4 Estella.

What say you all?

Well, I will say I kind of understand his problem with Meridith. It sounds like he was struggling to decide if his affection for her was rooting in actual love, or in the common grieving they were doing over her grandmother.

Well I agree with you on Kelly Jo being number 1, but Meridith has been bugging me since the first show. She has some sort of lazy speech pattern and seems a little to high and mighty.

I think he sees Trista in Estella, and might end up choosing her subconsciously still wanting to be with Trista. Watch her, she is very similar. She acts the same, looks very similar (except the hair) and has the same high pitched excited voice. Pretty sure it will come down to her and Kelly Jo.

Good Lord, I'd rather it be Mary and Kelly Jo. Please let him boot Estella next Wednesday. But I guess I won't be too upset if your scenareo pans out, because the more I think about it, the more I think the difference between Mary and Estella (in likability) is less than the difference between Mary and Kelly Jo. So whichever (Mary or Estella) gets booted next week, will give me some pleasure. The main thing is for Kelly Jo to win in the end.

hehehehehehe! I guess the producers of the shows have gotten what they wanted: for the viewing audience to derive pleasure in watching hearts getting broken (i.e. booting).

By the way, My TiVo cut off the show last night at 9:00 to switch to SouthPark. They were in the middle of showing Meridith talking to the Bachelor. What happened after that? Did they show a shot of her crying in the limo?

Another question: any rumors about how the show is faring ratingswise, or whether it'll get a new season?

Well, it looks from the poll like most agree with me, at least, that Kelly Jo should win. It's interesting that most think Mary should been booted. I will say that in the first couple of episodes I was turned off by Mary's constant showing off of her Spanish speaking ability. I just don't see how that would be a turn-on.

Mary just seems a little too clingy and desperate. She should 've been the one to go.

You've hit the nail on the head with the clinging, desparate comment. I noticed she was the last of the 3 he picked, and he had a particularlly long pause before announcing her name. When the camera panned over to her during the pause you could see the huge tension on her face. It seemed to me a mixture of worry, nervousness, and possible anger if she doesn't get picked.

It will be very interesting to see her get dumped in a future episode (if she does - please say she will). By the way, did you see the end of the episode? My TiVo cut it off during the part where Meridith was talking to the bachelor. Did they have any footage of Meridith being driven away in the limo?

Kelly Jo will win because in addition to being a catch she is from his home state of Michigan and Trista even pointed in the bachelorette that seemed kind of important to Bob.

He is probably being coached to rotate the names so it doesnt appear she is number one. Just like Trista made Charlie look like the hot guy over Ryan for TV suspense.

As Meredith was riding away in the limo, she said that she was really falling for Bob and she ought to still be in the house, but now she has no chance with him. She feels she was let go because she hadn't shown enough of her feelings to Bob. She said that he didn't know it yet but he had just put the best girl for him in the limo and is letting her ride away. She said none of the remaining girls are what he is looking for.

Coming up on next week's show, the three remaining girls go on individual dates. Looks like lots of hot tubs and showers are involved.

Yeah, they always (or at least frequently) say stuff like this. The moments in the car are immediately after they've been rejected and I think they are filled with self doubt. All the things that they saw the others gals doing, which they thought were wrong, now seem right for some reason and they make these related self-criticizing conclusions. <shrug>

I like Mary. If Rob doesn't pick here I'd let her move to Houston and hang out with me. ;)

But Kelly Jo seems like the best match. Estella seems pretty good but I'd have a tough time getting used to calling a young woman by that name. ;)

Note that on November 12, they are having a special "The Bachelor: The Women Tell All" show. Your season pass will not pick this up. This burns people every time. Program it now.

It's doing well in the ratings and it's the #2 show on ABC behind Monday Night Football. Those are usually the only 2 programs on ABC that make the top 20 in the ratings each week.
