Anyone watching Connections 2 on The Science Channel? I used to watch another show like this by James Burke when I was younger. I can't remember what the name of it is, but it was like it. Anyone know what that show was?
Anyway, I'm really enjoying Connections 2. I thoroughly enjoy Burke's story telling ability and love learning the path that science has taken through history.

:) No, actually I found it. It was called "The Day the Universe Changed". It was a show on PBS.

If I remember correctly, Connections was alot better than Connections 2.

Yes, Connections was an hour long and actually had a logical sequence through various events & technologies, and ended up reaching one modern technology such as the space shuttle. Connections 2 tries to cram the same amount of information into 20 minutes, plus commercials, and leaps all over the place until you're completely lost. I keep hoping the original Connections will show up somewhere, but I've never seen it in the US.

You can buy the original "Connections" on DVD. I did, and I'm a penny-pinching half.com bastard. And I'd do it again. It's the gift-giving season, so give yourself a gift!!!
