HELP!!! HDR212 Diagnostic Defaults
(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I finally decided to try the diagnostic mode on my Phillips HDR-212. Unfortunately, I did something wrong, and now the unit endlessly reboots after a few seconds on the first screen. I think I modified a configuration setting that I shouldn't have. When the unit goes into diag mode, it now tells me it sees IDE drive 0 and drive 1, when the first time I got in it only said that it saw one drive, drive 1.
Anybody know how to reset all the defaults in the config, or perhaps a listing of the config mem values so I can reset them to their original settings? I'm pretty sure it's not a bad HD that is causing this.

Do you have a backup file you made? If so, it might be the simplest thing to start over with a fresh (or working) copy. Try that. If that doesn't work, or if there is no backup copy that you have, PM me. I might be able to help you.

I'm not sure that a backup file will help. The problem is not that the drive is corrupted, it appears to be that I modified the settings in diagnostic mode such that the unit has trouble booting. What I really need are the HDR-212 defaults, or a way to automatically tell it to switch back to the defaults? Perhaps a script to set the defaults?

I refuse to believe that there is NO ONE in this entire forum who knows how to reset the diagnostic mode configuration to the default values, or what those values are.
There is no one here who can help me?
