What's the Diff?: clusterKnoppix or Knoppix?

I am having no success with dd. I have been reading about using dd_rescue instead. I tried d/l'g just the dd_rescue and then added it to a boot CD. Didn't work. I kept getting "Command not found." I put it in the "MFSTools.2" directory. I know next to nothing about Linux, and I don't know how to specify the right directory for the program to run.
I am attempting to d/l the Knoppix CD (.iso) and will be booting to it instead. There are two versions. One is "Knoppix v3.3" and is ~699MB. The other is "clusterKnoppix" and is ~634MB.
Will either of these do, or do I need the larger? The cluster version apparently has more seeds and is d/l'g *MUCH* faster.

My guess is they're very similar, so hopefully dd_rescue will be on both. I would think a quick Google would turn up a description of what clusterKnoppix is all about.
At a guess I'd say it contains the software you need to build a supercomputer by making several PC's work together.
