Did a DD on a B and lost my A**!!

After determining that my 120GB 'B' drive had developed errors (thanks to weaknees and others), I replaced it with a 160GB drive.
I performed the following command, with the old 'B' drive as primary slave and the new as secondary master:
dd conv=noerror,sync if=/dev/hdb of=/dev/hdc bs=1024k
dd reported two errors, but seemed to complete the copy.
After installing the new drive, the TiVo booted normally, and went to live tv. The 'Now Playing List' shows all of the programs, however, attempting to play any of them results in the following:
"Error playing a recording
The Recorder was not able to record this program because there was no video signal on the channel.
You may have been trying to record on a channel that you don't receive."
Obviously the programs recorded correctly, but are now unviewable.
Any ideas on whether my recordings are salvagable, or just plain gone?
BTW, I am currently re-running the Maxtor diagnostics on the old (bad) 'B' drive. When I ran them initially, it offered the opportunity to repair the errors, which at the time I passed on. Assuming it can repair the errors, would returning that drive to the TiVo, bring the recordings back, or has booting with a different drive in destroyed the possiblility of getting them back?
Please help!!! My wife is gonna terminate me, if we can't get back the pay-per-views that we haven't even watched yet :-(
