TiVo stopped working for no reason

I installed a 120MB B drive and left my 60mb A. I have a series 2. It worked for 2-3 months and it was great. Then last night, for no apparent reason, it went into "Powering Up" mode, and remained that way for hours, until I eventually unplugged it. The only possible thing I can fathom that could've caused it is that I used a microwave that I never use that is on the same circuit as the tivo. But i'm relatively certain that it worked for at least an hour or two after that.
I'm sorry if this question has already been asked(likely), but I cant come up with a good search query that gives me anything relevant. Is this common? Are there only a few things that can cause this? What would be your recommended course of action? I may be able to load the A drive from my 2-3 month old backup, but is there any reason to believe that it wont happen again, or anything I can do to ensure it wont happen again? If anyone is willing to help me I would really appreciate it.
