HDVR2: processor speed? heat/noise? ACPI standby? recommended HDs?

I am curious about a few things. I just bought two Hughes HDVR2 Directivos and want to know:
1) What type of processor and speed does this unit have?
2) Are there any linux hacks which actually enable the directivo to go into a suspend state (ie suspend to ram) with no fans on and hard drive parked upon pressing the standby button? This is in our bedroom and I like to sleep w/ silence. Also, is there any possibility DirecTV could actually integrate a feature that turns the fans/HD off at standby? I did request it today to DirecTV tech support to forward this request to the programmers. It's probably a futile cause.
3) What are the *absolutely* quietest hard drives I can get for these?
I have a Samsung spinpoint 7200rpm in one of my PCs, and two baracudda IV drives in another. Even though they idle quietly, baracuddas whine during seeking - I'll pass on these for the bedroom.
I see there is a Samsung spinpoint 5400rpm model available as well (SV1203N). Spinpoint V (5400rpm) drives run at 2.6/2.7bels versus Spinpoint P (7200) at 2.7/2.8bels. Any personal experience w/ noise versus the 7200rpm model?
4) ALSO, what drives put out the LEAST HEAT so I won't need to put out as much CFM and can run a quieter fan? I assume 5400rpm in general, but please recommend specific models.
5) Same question w/ fan - whats the quietest fan I can buy that will put out sufficient CFM ?
6) Inside a tivo, what components are generating most heat, besides the hard drive ?

Why not put the TiVo in an adjacent room? Run the cables through the wall and use a remote extender to control it.
