Judging from the disclaimer on the Tivocommunity page you will not get much of a positive response on this forum to your extraction questions. Here is the disclaimer:

"NOTE...No talk of any type of service theft or video extraction is allowed. This also includes hacks that remove ads from TiVo software."

If you do a search on google, you will likely find other sources of information to answer your questions.
