When upgrading HD, does it really matter the order you connect the drives?

Hi guys,

I was just wondering. I opened up the computer that we have at home which is still running Win98(:D) and it looks like the drives are all connected very weird. I've connected up the old Tivo drive, new HD, CD rom and main computer HD. This is the order I'm seeing:

hda: TIVO HD
hdb: NEW WESTERN DIGITAL 120G HD
hdc: CD DRIVE
hdd: COMPUTER C: DRIVE

I was thinking of just changing hinsdale's upgrade guide with my own personal order of drives but wasn't sure if it would cause issues. Does anybody know if any problems will occur if I continue with these connections?

Thanks a bunch...

Steve

As long as you're using the MFS Tools 2.0 boot disk, that's fine.

Thanks a bunch for the quick reply. I'm actually upgrading the HD for a friend of mine. We don't have Tivo at home :(.

When are you planning to get one, then? :)
