Ed 11/12 (untagged spoilers)

Anyone still watching? I haven't seen a thread in here for a few weeks. I thought the last couple of episodes have been really good, cumulating with last night's episode, which was one of the best shows this year. I thought the shows producers have done a great Job of using the Ed/Carol relationship to create tension, but not overusing it as so many shows would have done.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents.

I agree. The past few episode were great. They are escalating the relationship without showing us every week in their lives, but extending that to month(s). Last night's episode was laugh-out-loud funny! Especially the Molly/Phil parts. That just cracked me up at how wrong it was. :D

I still don't have any idea where this show goes from here, and that's a good thing because it leaves me wanting to know what happens next.

I really thought they would of drug it out longer. (the ed/carol situation)

Missed it on both TiVos -- that's what we get for neglecting the To Do list. I might need to find this one online.

I agree about this week's episode. . . and I'll add that I think this season of "Ed" is the best ever.

I even took a little private glee in my knowledge that Tom Cavanaugh previously played a guy who thought he was a dog on "Providence". . . and now it's come full-circle with Ed's visit to a pet therapist. (I was also really surprised to see Cavanaugh in a tiny guest role in an episode of "Sports Night" recently.)

I have always liked this show...

Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)
...but if Carol turns down his proposal next week, I'll be really dissappointed.

Mike was hillarious with the little dog - what is it? - Willy Butch? Where did they get that name from??

:D

If I recall correctly (I think this was back in the first episode of this season), the dog came from the breeder with the name Willy, which Nancy liked, but Mike wanted a dog named Butch...so they compromised, like all good married couples. :D

One of the best episodes ever I thought. The bit about reality shows and Portugese was funny stuff.

I literally fell off the couch when we actually started speaking Portugese.

So early in the season for the 'ultimate' proposal. Worries me just a bit.

Good show. Hey redlegs, I haven't deleted it yet. I could probably make you a tape and send it if you can't find it.

Won't this be the last season for "Ed"?? Last year, there was great speculation that the *current* season would never happen. I really think the producers are steering the story line so the series can be nicely wrapped up by the end of the season.

The best was how they kept the show approach fresh with the looking back by several characters. It is one great thing Ed does: take a classic show look, i.e. the dream sequence, and make it that much better.

Ah yes, Pixley's date. He's a Sports Night nut.

I remember that there was intense speculation near the end of last year that if Ed chose Carol, the series would be over. The producers were quick to deny this, stating that it was simply time to move on with the big Ed/Carol decision, instead of drawing it out.

As for steering the show toward a nice conclusion, I just think the producers are simply moving the story line forward, and that by itself should't be an indication of what the future holds for Ed. What worries me is the upheaval at NBC. They are losing to CBS is the key demographics, and their entertainment president just came out and said their new shows really sucked. When they go to clean house next year, they may make drastic changes, which usually includes killing off steady shows like Ed in favor of risky new ones.

My darn IR blaster didn't change the channel, so I got "Tech Live" instead of Ed. Grr.

I hate it when that happens!

Ed still has the highest household income demos of any show on broadcast television. Terrible overall ratings, but those Infiniti, Lexus, MB, Hummer, etc. commercials do very well.
