Is "Lost in Space" being shown anywhere?

I've had a wishlist for this series since last February. You'd think some channel would be showing it. I get the Sci Fi channel.

I haven't seen it airing anywhere in years, but the first season DVD set is due out on January 13.

It'd sure be nice to see the "jiffy-pop" suits again...

How silly. Sci Fi doesn't show Sci Fi... the mere thought!

I loved that show, right up until they started changing the crew into giant carrots... I watched it on UHF tv, in addition to Speed Racer and Ultraman.

I thought they turned into Ruth Buzz and Jim Neighbors, kept two kids, dumped the excess cast, and turned the robot into a Dorse. Hee, hee ...

bloop, bloop

Poor Bloop. I wonder what rock planet they left her on ;)
One season she was on the show. The next she was gone without a word.

PS: To bad the movie didn't make money. So I guess no Lost in Space-2. Our friends may be Lost in Space forever .

IMO, the movie sucked. I liked the show much better.

The Movie could have been better. Paid $6.50 to see it the first week it was release, plus I bought the DVD. So I don't think it sucked. but it could have been better.......After all this was not Shakespeare to began with :D

I actually liked the movie better than the series, because it was "hardcore" Sci Fi instead of the TV series "comedic/adventure" Sci-Fi. Also loved the modernized theme song and video on the DVD!

I've read a lot of posts at various sites about how much everyone hated the movie, but I really liked it. It's too bad it didn't do well enough to spawn the franchise they were shooting for.

The cameos from the (most of) the surviving original cast were nice. I remember reading something about Jonathan Harris refusing to do it because he wasn't a "bit player". Bill Mumy made reference to not coming to agreement on a contract. I would guess they would have cast him as the grown-up Will in the sequence towards the end. I think that would have been cool.

Jonathan Harris was one of a kind. He was just like Dr smith in real life. I seen him twice at some Sci-fi conventions in the early 90's. Don't think about asking for an autograph or take a picture with him, without a 10 dollar bill in your hand :D
It would be just like him to turn down a cameo part. He was not a "bit player" :p

edit: or maybe it was the late 80's

I loved it; that and Starship Troopers. ;)
