I was looking at my Now Playing, and it showed 8 Simple Rules, and there was nothing after that. Did they offically change the name, since it was originally based on John Ritter's character saying that?

I miss him.

I think you're exactly right, although that shortened version of the title doesn't make any sense. "8 Simple Rules..." (with the ellipsis) would be better.

They always called it "8 Simple Rules" for short
I doubt they changed it.

I miss John Ritter too I can't believe he's gone :c(

Not sure where I read it, but they did officially change the name. Since the "...for dating my teenage daughter" part was in the John Ritter character's "voice," if that makes any sense, it's no longer appropriate.

I noticed this also.. also noticed that my SP changed with the title change... most other shows that changed titles, I had to delete the old SP and create a new one..
