Hard Drive Bad?

Two drives: 80 Gig and 120 Gig both maxtors. I had some stuttering and now tivo would reboot every few minutes. Temperature is ok. Put original 40gig drive back in Tivo--works fine.

Checked each drive individually (booted off powermax floppy). 120 Gig drive (primary) checks OK. 80 Gig drive is correctly identified by BIOS but powermax says there is no drive attached. If I rejumper the drive as primary powermax will correctly identify the drive and it passes diagnostics.

Is the drive good or bad? Will I have trouble with an RMA?

Did you runn the full diagnostics or just the quick scan? If the drive passes diagnostics, they probably won't take it back.
