DTV+SA1 v's DTivo2 Which would you choose?

So I have a 170 hour upgraded SA1 with additional memory, Turbonet, Tivoweb and some other applications running, the now playing list is slow (it's many many pages long) but it looks like cachcard will help out there.
I'm fed up of being gouged by Comcast and I can save $300 a year if I switch to DirecTv (we have a dual room tuner setup with HBO
So my question's this, when I switch should I keep my SA1 and just get normal Dirctv set top boxes - downside is I can only tape 1 channel at a time and it will cost $7 a month more in Tivo fees, upside the box is free (Dtivo2's cost $100 and SA1's seem much more flexible from an upgrade point of view than Dtivo2's.
I've also noticed that Dtivo2's seem to be getting lots of poor ratings for speed even before they are expanded.
Any suggestions?

Slowness or not, DTivo beats the heck out of DTV+SA in many ways. There is no substitute.

We really recommend to all of our customers who have DirecTV that a combo is the way to go. The two main reasons not to get a combo are:

-you get locals via cable and you want to TiVo those
-you have a really compelling issue that requires HMO

I don't know if I will need the HMO but I really do want my tivo networked, my main concerns are that I've done all the upgrades to my SA1 so it has lots of capacity and there's a fix going to be available that speeds it up whereas the Dtivo2 is getting complaints about how slow it is before the capacity is even upgraded and I'm also not sure that the independent software will run on a series 2 tivo.
I like the idea of taping two show's at once but I don't want to give up networking or running other software on the box.

Also does anyone know if the problems with tivoftpd ceasing to respond also effect the Dtivo2?

How/why apart from dual recording?

Why apart from dual recording, is the quality that much better than an SA1 recording on best?
