Replacing dead HDR212 drive problems

my hard drive in my HDR212 died...i have a version 2 image back up on CD and in my root C:\ directory. I am using MFSTools boot disk and cant seem how to restore/expand this image to the NEW 120 GB hard drive i have.
Can someone please give me the exact instructions to restore and expand the PSA_201.bak file to the new large drive???

i forgot... I have Windows XP and placed the PSA_201.bak file in c:\ also i have it on CD-rom

Just do a one drive replace for your unit, and skip the backup part.

would it be possible to get a 3.0 version for the 212 so i can skip the edit parms section? Also on the restore command the instructions (mfsrestore -s 127 -xzpi - /dev/hdZ ) This does not reference the PSA_201.bak file i have on the disk. What i really need to know is how to get the .bak file restored

A quick search on Google will turn up a 3.0 backup for the HDR112, which would solve your problem nicely.
The mfsrestore command you quote is part of a pipe. The dash after the i tells it to read the backup from stdin. You need to mount the partition containing the backup file (by using the mount command) and then replace the dash with the pathname of the backup file.

i just place the backup file on the c:\ root directory?? I have XP is that ok?
