Upgrading an image to a new tivo win2k

I have a backup tivo.bak file on a FAT32 partition on my NTFS win2k system. I want to restore tha t image to another DSR6000 that the HD died on. What command line do I have to use if the FAT32 partition is called drive F and the new upgrade drive will be the primary slave?

Probably something like:

mount /dev/hda2 /mnt

Actually, hda5 is more likely.

You'll see the partition list printed in the boot log. You might need to do

dmesg | grep hda

to find it.

Thank for the responses. however, I am not a linux man at all. I am not sure what those commands even mean. The only ones I know are from Hinsdale

Hinsdale tells you to do

mkdir /mnt/dos
mount /dev/hda1 /mnt/dos

However, hda1 is your NTFS-formatted C: drive. Your D: drive is probably hda5, so you would have to alter the mount command to reflect that difference.

However, I think that if you make a copy of the backup to c:\tivo.bak, you should find that you can mount your NTFS partition and read the backup off it without any problems.
