Alec Baldwin has been my surprise favorite guest host of Saturday Nignt Live. His ability to play....absolutely straight...in some of the funniest sketches ever on the show is remarkable. Between Pete Schwetty (twice!) and the fake commercial jabbing at Fidelity Funds where he jumps out the window saying "It's a GREAT time to invest!" I first realized his comic prowess.

Given that, I deleted my SP for SNL long ago. Didn't see this past Saturday's. How was it? Worth picking up in reruns? How was Alec?

I enjoyed Alec's "Pete Schwetty" bit and was hoping that they would do another sketch this next go around. They didn't. It wasn't too memorable, I FF through a lot of it since the sketches didn't peak my interest and were dull from the start.

I enjoyed it and I don't even like AB. I especially liked his intro, when he started to say something about the last time he hosted it that there was a Bush in the whitehouse and a war in the Gulf, but the other guys cut him off and went on babbling about something else. That was funny.

All in all it was a pretty good show. But I almost never ever watch SNL anymore so I don't have much to compare it to.

The Zinger & Burns sketch from this past episode was pretty damn funny.

Alec Baldwin was on Letterm this week, and was really funny. He had Dave cracking up. If you want to laugh with a Baldwin, instead of at a Baldwin, he's the one to go to!
