The View's New Co-Host is....???? (Spoiler Ahead)

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Okay, I did something today I never thought I'd do....I TiVo'ed The View!

But there was a reason for my madness! I just recently found out that my favorite Survivor, Elisabeth Hasselbeck from Survivor II, was up for the new co-host spot on this show. And guess what...she got it! I had to tune in and see. Wow, it was great seeing her again. She has got to be one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen!

On top of this, it was quite a couple of days in the Hasselbeck household. Tim Hasselbeck is now a Redskins QB and ended up playing yesterday and played very well. They still lost , but he put on a good show for his first major NFL action!

:)

Me very happy. Me really like Elisabeth (mmmm....Elisabeth.....). Me is going to have to concoct a nefarious scheme to have the wife want a SP for The View so that me can watch Elisabeth in all her glory...

Any odds on when Kentucky Joe will appear on the show?

Well, he played OK. 15-30, 1-1, 150 isn't exactly lighting it up.

Yes, his wife is beautiful.

Thank heavens Rachel didn't win. I was fully prepared to delete my season pass for The View if she had. Elisabeth ain't bad. At least there might be more football talk now.

Considering the circumstances and how badly the Skins have played lately, it wasn't bad....

For the Skins this year, "not bad" = "very well"....

;)

She is fr#@$kin hot, that's for sure. Not hot enough to make me record, but hot none the less.

I just got a SP for it and I NEVER thought I would do that. I have wanted to see more of her ever since she was on Survivor. I am sure the novelty will wear off shortly, but for now, I'll take all the Elisabeth I can get.

Who would have thought everyone in The View thread would be talking about football :). I've never even seen The View, but I might have to check it out to see my favorite female Survivor contestant. :D

My wife and I saw Elizabeth and hubby shopping at a Toys R' Us in our area while Survivor 2 was still airing (I recall my wife commenting "Well, I guess she didn't win.")

So in terms of bragging rights, is The View better than landing a Chapstick commercial and having a cameo in a Rob Schneider movie? Just curious.

Is her husband Tim Hasselbeck from the Redskins or Matt Hasselbeck from the Seahawks? Are they brothers?

Posted by: bdjncox

Her husband is Tim of the Redskins and yes, they are brothers.

Yes, I think this is better than manimal! And she is the cuter of the two anyway.

I think Elisabeth now has bragging rights over the other survivors. She has done quite well for herself! Colleen's appearance in a Rob Schneider movie doesn't count for a whole lot. Plus, have we seen her since? I haven't...

That was her choice. She decided to move behind the camera. There was an article in the Washington Post magazine a few month back. She decided the being famous was not what she wanted and she said she hated making the movie. When the article was written, she was working on the reality TV show that was about making the Michael Esseny show.

She's from Survivor!

Thanks for filling in the blanks. I knew she looked SO familiar. Now I know that she's that cute chick who's boyfriend was a college quaterback.

This may be the shortest SP in history. I tried watching it this morning and it was horrible. She is incredibly attractive, but i still couldn't keep my hand off the fast forward button. :)

Posted by: Todd

I didn't choose to setup an SP for it, but I can TiVo the show if I want to see her for some reason....

Must...resist...off colored...joke. :p

Posted by: geektron

I did make that a little too easy. :D

How did I miss this thread?? I just found out about her being on The View when some co-workers and I were discussing Survivor All-Star..

Elisabeth is my favorite, all time reality show hottie.

Posted by: skruggie

She also hosts The Look For Less on E! which is where I know her from, I didn't know she was on Survivor.

FYI: They asked both Elisabeth and Colleen to be on All-Star Survivor and they both said no. Elisabeth for obvious reasons but I guess Colleen didn't really like the experience at all and wasn't willing to go through it again.

Posted by: TeeSee

I guess I'm the only one who doesn't see the "beauty" in this girl. I mean she's cute and all, but come on...

She's not worth watching the freakin' View! :p

My wife saw Elisabeth talk about it on The View, and she evidently turned down quite an appearance fee (different from prize money for order of finish) by turning down Surivor: All Stars. She (Elisabeth) said that she had some pretty severe medical issues after Survivor: Outback, and her doctor told her that if she wanted to have kids she probably shouldn't do Survivor again.

Um...perhaps I don't want to know...but what kinda health problems could you get on an island that would prevent you from having kids???

Posted by: devdogaz

Going that long without food can do bad things to your system. And IIRC, she didn't have any extra lbs. to burn off before the show began. I think she was dangerously skinny by the time she got the boot.

Ask any female gymnast. The real danger is low body fat. It signals the body that it is not to be able to have children since you could not nurse and it kills the menstral cycle and drops your estrogen level.

Most female gymnast don't regain normal periods for a quite a while after they stop competing. Once the body fat gets high enough again the will restart but it is not good for someone who wants to have kids to have that happen as sometimes your cycle never does restart.

Posted by: Todd

Hmmm...I wonder if I should TiVo The View on Monday since the All-Star Survivor starts on Sunday? I frankly haven't watched this show at all since the end of November.

Ah. Gotcha. I hadn't thought about the weight issue because I didn't watch her version of Survivor, but that would be it. Although it is more fun to think about the Survivor contestants catching weird island STDs or something. :)

It's also really bad for your bones. Osteoperosis-city. Though I don't know if only starving for a month at a time can do much long term damage to your bones, if you're healthy the rest of the time. Actually, I'm surprised that a month of malnutrition would hurt a woman's fertility in the long-term. Short-term, I can totally understand...

I don't mind any of the other girls but.....

Star Jones just irritates me to no end.

Yes "Star" we KNOW you're a lawyer. I also believe that she's an obese homophobe as well. There's been MANY occasions where she has to declare her heterosexuality or preface a remark with such a disclaimer.

She is VISIBLY uncomfortable with gay or lesbian guests.

Posted by: cpalma

Wasn't her (Elisabeth) hair falling out in clumps before she got the boot on Survivor? Is that another sign of malnutrition.
