Upgrade drive question

I upgraded my HDVR2 with two 120GB drives and TwinBreeze Complete kit using Hinsdale. Might be getting it replaced under warranty. What's the story on reusing the drive to upgrade the new unit. I realize I'll loose all the data on the drives. Do I need to wipe the Partition tables before I reuse them on the new box?

Well, I'm gonna get a replacement box. Any comments on the issues with removeing the HD's from the old box and redoing them for the new box. I know I'm gonna loose everything, that's fine. I just want to makesure that when I rerun MFS tools, they will overwrite everything and put the new HD's data onto the upgraded HD's.
Thx.

If the replacement is an HDVR2, then all you need to do is a 'clear and delete everything' reset once the drive is in its new home.
If it's a different type (and there's some uncertainty as to whether the DVR40 is a different type to the HDVR2 or not), then just use MFS Tools as described in Hinsdale - no need to do anything special to the drives.

Just to clairfy, if it's an HDVR2, I can install the two 120GB drives from the old one and then clear and delete everything . I don't need to run MFSTools on them at all???
Now, that's cool.

OK, you out-pedanted me. I should have said "once the drives are in their new home".

Thx, Just wanted to make sure I fully understood the process. I kept thinking I'd have to rerun MFSTools to copy the factory data from the original harddrive from the new DVR.
Appreciate the assistance.
