As an absolute beginner, could anyone help. Just got my hands on a Maxtor Fireball 3 40Gb ATA/133 for very little cash. I'm a bit "strapped" and would like advice on how to use it in a 6020. All assistance, comments andpointers gratefully recived!

Do you want to replace your current drive, or add this one to it?

Hinsdale's post above contains very detailed instructions for every common TiVo upgrade.

All you really need to do is make a compressed backup (put that somewhere safe) and then use mfsadd to add your new drive to the current one.
