So, I downloaded an Sony SVR2000 image from the web.

Is it possible to to "Start from scratch" and do a fresh install on two new hard drives?

If I am not concerned about keeping previously recorded programs, how would I go about starting over from scratch?

Just use MFS Tools to restore and expand as described in Hinsdale and then do a 'clear and delete everything' reset once the TiVo is running.
