I bought a 725 Broadband for my TiVo today and the total price was $51.54 with tax & 3-5 day shipping. These retail for $89-$99 around here. It protects against power loss, AC surge, telephone line surge, and coax TV cable surge!
Just thought I'd let everyone know. Today and tomorrow only.

Thanks! I'm going to recommend these for my church's video projectors to protect those pricey bulbs.

Free shipping is a great bonus -- these things are heavy.

thanks! Was going to go down to sams this week and buy one but this will save me a few bucks!

What a fantastic deal! I bought two of the 350's and my total was less than $50. Thanks for the heads-up.

Thanks for the heads up! Just bought two 350s. This has been on my to-do list for a long time, so it feels good to finally have it taken care of, and for such a great price!
Note: you do have to pretend you're a small business, though. Discounts for Home users are only 10%.

Quick--anyone know whether the smallest one of these would be able to protect three TiVos at once?
Don't care how long the power lasts, only that they are protected better than a surge protector.

The Series2 Installation Guide says it is 40W. So (assuming Series 1 is similar), 40x3 is 120W, so the 200W should not be overloaded by three TiVos, right?

It should work, but your runtime will probably be in the 5-10 minute range.

Cool deal.
Now I can have another device chirping at me during the next power failure.
Anyone else with digital cable use the cheaper ones to buffer the cable box, as that seems the most important point of failure in a way (as the Tivo will record nothing if the cable box is turned off).

The point is not to preserve content during power failures, but to preserve the hardware (particularly the power supplies and hard drives) from damage caused during power fluctuations/surges/brief outages.

Hmm...not seeing free shipping as I check out...anything special to type in for it?

I didn't have to enter anything when I bought mine, I just checked out and the shipping was free. I went back to investigate some more and found this:quote:
All DellTM PowerConnectTM Network Switches and select Storage, Software and Peripherals — Get 3-5 Day Shipping FREE!
Looking a little closer I saw:

Offer excludes Software & Peripherals purchases under $50
I didn't see that before, and I bought the 725 Broadband for $51.xx after tax so I didn't realize other people might not get the same offer. Sorry if I misled anyone.

I'm planning on putting both my series2 tivo and digital box on it. I haven't bothered to check the power consumption on the digital box, but i figure it cant be too much.
