I would like to thank everyone for the wonderful information found on this web site and I'd especially like to thank hinsdale for his upgrade guide.

I puchased a HDVR2 just before Thanksgiving and then purchased a 120 GB WD hard drive from Office Max over the Thanksgiving Holiday for $60.00 after rebates. I finally got around to installing it this morning and with the information I read in the Tivo Community, I was able to upgrade my Tivo flawlessly in about 80 minutes. I now have 104 hours of Recording Time.

My next step will be to add a second 120 GB drive sometime in the near future.

Again, thanks for all the info. Without this web site, I would have never been able to upgrade my new Tivo with such success.

I added a Maxtor 120gig as a 2nd drive this afternoon. Between the Hinsdale directions, the weaknees.com bracket/fan kit and this forum I am now the proud owner of a 144 hour Hughes DirecTivo HDVR2.
