Airnet on adhoc peer to peer network?

I just installed Airnet card with a ZoomAir 4105 card. DirecTivo SAT-T60.
I'm trying to connect to WinXP machine running adhoc mode. I think I did everything correctly, I get a flashing green status light on the Wifi card, but I can't ping into the Tivo. I manually set the IP, Subnet and matched the SSID for the adhoc network.

I'm able to ping into other devices on the network (laptop, PocketPC).

I've looked through the forum for something similar, but couldn't find anything that seemed to work. Any ideas would be fantastic.
