Does anybody know how long they're going to continue the reruns? if the new season starts in January, it seems impossible for them to get through all 26 previous episodes before that.

This is a good question. I've been watching from the beginning but hadn't done the math to see that they won't finish if they keep showing one episode per week. Before season 2, they showed season 1 in a marathon of 2-3 per night for a couple weeks (this is why we're only watching seaons 1 now - we didn't have enough space on our TiVo to hold the whole season at once!) Maybe they'll repeat that strategy -- finish season 1 at one episode per week then do a marathon of season 2 before season 3 starts. I'm counting on getting to see all the episodes, so I hope they have a plan!

I don't think Season 3 is supposed to start until maybe March I thought? Did they start the reruns of Season 2 yet?

They are still in Season 1. Which -- although I've seen many of these episodes twice -- is still better than almost everything else on the air right now.

Well that does seem to be the new rumor, although I can't find it confirmed anywhere. Previously, everyone was saying it was starting January 6. This is better for me, as I'll have time to watch season 2 (which I haven't yet seen) at a more leisurely pace, rather than having 13 hours of it fill up my TiVo in one week. But people who've already seen season 2 are understandably impatient.

Agreed. My husband and I decided to stop watching some of the new series we'd picked up in favor of reruns of The Shield that we'd already seen. It's just plain better.

I've watched the first 6 episodes of the reruns, and they never say a date or a month. Just 2004. I doubt it's January.

Ok, I've never seen the show but have been meaning to for a long time. Pissed that I missed this from the beginning of this rerun. I just TiVoed "Dragonchasers" this week, haven't watched it yet. This is like Episode 10 of season 1. Will I be totally lost as to what's going on if I pick it up from here?

Pick it up from here, but I recommend you beg, borrow, rent or steal the DVDs of Season 1. Just the pilot episode will leave you saying...."whoa..."
