I feel bad about you people who couldnt see last nights snl, it was funny! My 2 favorite skits last night where "Michael Jackson in a RollerCoaster!" and, ofcourse, "Weekend Update"

Im sorry to thouse of you who couldnt see it, because jimmy fallon and tina fey made fun of your cities :P

i cant wait for this episode to be on Ccentral.

I'm Ryan Fellow! :D

Does anyone still watch SNL? I thought the show was crap and haven't watched it in a year. Got better things to do on a Saturday night. Not worth the TiVo space, IMHO.

It was blacked out for me - I'm assuming that Sharpton played Brian Fellow's brother? That sounds like it could be funny...

Lucally they didnt mention your city in weekend update, they had a map with like 20 cities and they only mentiond 5.

I liked the Paris Hilton interview that Jimmy Fallon did on Weekend Update.
She took all the double entendres well.

Whoa...missed this. Can someone fill me in on what the big deal was? Did local stations black it out or something? Was it known ahead of time? I didn't hear anything about this.

Can't find it on bitTorrent either! Come on...spill it...

Al Sharpton hosted, and some channels blacked it out b/c they were afraid that "equal time" laws would require them to give 1 1/2 hours to all the other Presidential candidates.

Pretty stupid.

"how hard is it to get in the paris hilton?" "is there double occupancy?" "im a vip, can i get in the back door?"

/Michael Jackson
"we need to buy more money"
/Michael Jackson
Funny stuff.

The 3 kings skit was kina lame and would have been funnier if Sharpton would have been allowed to bellow a bit more.

Question...is Brian Fellow's Safari Planet a real show that they are spoofing or did they totally make it up?

Posted by: cwoody222

Ryan Fellow's Safari Planet is a re-occurring skit on SNL. It's made up.

It's Brian Fellow, BTW. Ryan was a new character introduced in the sketch last night.

As I understood all Iowa NBC stations did not play SNL, I have the NY and LA NBC through Dishnetwork, so I got to see it.

"I hear the Paris Hilton is quite large, will I be comfortable in the Paris Hilton?"

Posted by: faerie

hmn, it was a rerun for me so it must have been blacked out. I didn't even put 2 and 2 together....

"It might be quite large for you, Jimmy, but most people find it comfortable" - PH

I only watch it for Weekend Update. (Thank you Tivo!)

My favorite line, "This week, construction started on a national slavery museum. Please tune in next week, when we have different host, for this joke's punch line."

Agreed. I believe "equal time" only applies to news shows. It should not apply to SNL, unless some stations use Weekend Update for their local news.

I believe Fred Thompson (I think that's his name -- current senator, former actor) gave his competitor some equal-time on one of the networks when the movie "The Hunt for Red October" was aired a while back. I seem to remember his opponent(s) getting, like, 2 minutes (his total screen time) because of this.

Posted by: faerie

there was also the issue here in Cali about Ah-nold's movies getting played on TV for the same reason - equal exposure for the over 20 million people running for office

Posted by: purple6816

Weekend update is better then some citys news.

The parts I saw (other than Safari Planet), I thought were lame...
