Most VCRs have the regular set of channels (tuner) that correspond to RF input plus they add a special channel called AV Input that corresponds to the RCA Inputs. This allows you to hook up ANY device with AV Outputs and record from it.

For those of us that have our Series 2 Tivos set up to use the RF for Cable (No Box), there should be an option (either mainstream menu option or hidden remote control trick) to allow the RCA Input to be recorded from (obviously no channel schedule).

Especially with the Home Media Option!!! You could share Home Videos this way. This is soooooo simple to do - why the heck hasn't Tivo done it?

(You can do a VERY PAINFUL fake satellite setup to accomplish this, but who wants to do that - how unfriendly and wasteful)
