Did anyone else watch this show?

It was actually neat to see that they did it for a family that had been through a lot in the last several years with a little girl that had been fighting (and winning) her battle with cancer. It was interesting to see the people working on the house fighting and then when the family came home to see the new house, everyone in tears. Ty was a great "lead" for this show since IMO he comes across as very sincere and caring.

My wife 'made' me watch it. I really enjoyed it. Wonder how much money they spent total, including sending the family off to Atlantis for a week...

I thought it was pretty great. bawled through it tho (*sigh* typical chick I guess)
gotta say though, I wish they had spent more time talking about what they did - too much fighting and personal stuff and not enough focus on the actual work.

Yes, the bickering was a bit too much. It really seemed staged just to make everything seem so much better at the end.

Yes, I did. Thought it was OK. The one thing that would have made it better was if it were my house they were making over. Not that it needs it but a trip to the Bahamas and a new truck would have been nice.

Interesting show. The squabling and personal attacks were both funny and annoying. Such extreme little turf wars and intensity was almost comical. I liked the one guy who kept walking away from the gal that was trying to bitch at him. Well hello sista, he ain't your boyfriend, he ain't your hubby, he ain't gotta listen to you bitch him out. :D
The truck bed bed was pretty cute. So was the replacement truck.
The only thing that I had a problem with was the pirate ship. Who else noticed that the side of it was about 6-8 feet away from the pool and could already see some drunk goofball or child trying to jump off the edge and not quite making it to the pool.

I think the railing on the ship should discourage jumping but you never know.
As for the listening to the GC bitching, that's how it works. If you are a tradesmen, you listen to the GC or you get fired. It is were not TV, that guy would have been fired. No questions, no waiting, just gone.
I did wonder about how the house was a wreck but they still had a big screen TV and did you notice the obligatory plasma they installed on the living room wall?
Sweet house when they were done. I really loved the secret entrance to M & D room for when the little girl needed comfort. Snif.... Nice touch!
