12/5 Boston Public - Urgent Question!
(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)
Posted by: Kylep
I have not seen this episode, so this question is second hand:
There is a scene with at least 2 kids walking down the hall making racist remarks (the phrase sand goon was mentioned). One of the kids appeared to be wearing an ING logo shirt.
If you have this show recorded, could you please confirm that one of the kids was indeed wearing an ING shirt?
I am attaching the basic logo, which may be simular to what was on the shirt.
My thanks to anyone who can take the time to do this!

It's a black shirt with an orange stripe over the left shoulder. The stripe has white lines to the side, and the orange stripe has the lion on it, and there is text on the right side, but I can't read it. (The person's right)

Are we sure it wasn't placed? ING is trying to go hip with its cafe and such.

Again, I didn't see the show... I was asked about this by someone who know's I'm a TiVo guy, and thought I might have it recorded.
But my understanding of the situation is that the guy wearing the shirt was either a terrorist, or making/laughing at some very racist remarks. That isn't the kind of product placement the company would want.

I'll have a screen capture for you in a couple hours.

That would be great. I'm still not sure if i have it recorded or not (My season pass conflicts with Miss match and JAG, but I sometimes catch it), as I don't get off for another hour, but even transferring it to VHS would be really hard for me as I'm not setup to do that... In fact my only VCR is in my computer room.

And it was sand Coon, not Goon, a slightly more polite term than the traditional Southern Sand N****r.

The kid wearing the shirt was not the one making the sand coon comment.

I guess coon would make more sense then goon, now that I think about it.
Thanks for the pics doug!
