Ellen on Oxygen vs. NBC

How do these two shows relate?

I browsed the upcoming shows, and each channel has daily shows with different guests on the same days, and they claim "First Run"s...

I don't understand... At first I thought perhaps one show airs on one channel, and trails on the other show by a day... But that does not seem to be the pattern either...

Anyone know?

I believe that there is a pattern. It appears that episodes of Ellen on OXYGEN trail NBC by one week.

Ah...thanks! So it's best to SP the NBC run then...

Thanks again!

Actually, what I'd do is set a WishList to record "Ellen" if you can figure out how to do it without getting 100 other shows with "Ellen" in the description. (Maybe a Title WishList for "Ellen," and then the "Talk" subcategory? You may have to experiment.)

That way, if something else conflicts with the recording of an episode of "Ellen" on your NBC affiliate, TiVo will automatically record that episode a week later on Oxygen.

Yea...That would be a good solution if one could find a way around the challenge you mentioned...

But to be honest, for the most part, I want to record a moving week's worth of Ellen, and if there are conflicts, so be it...

I do the same with Leno and Letterman... I like having a week's worth just in case I have the time to watch them... Looking through the description, there always seems to be someone worth watching :)
