Justice League "Comfort and Joy" SPOILERS!

Nice little holiday episode. Just three questions:

Kara -- as in Supergirl?

And the "Barbara" that she went skiing with -- Barbara Gordon?

And was that Streaky, the Super-cat?

(Somehow I don't think this will lead to Ace, the Bat-Dog, and my all-time favorite sidekick, Bat-Mite. Frank Miller would never approve. :D)

I thought it was a nice holiday episode also and they picked the 3 leaguers who had the most exposure to Christmas to lead the 3 stories, although Hawkgirl kind of turned the tables on John.

I was glad to see J'onn make an effort to learn more about the Spirit of Christmas than just the obvious goodwill from the Kents. The closing scene with the kitty was interesting and the Kents really exuded that warm, fuzzy feeling about J'onn's visit.

The Ultra-Humanite/Flash story was nice also. The kids were just enthralled by it all.

I had mentioned in another JL thread that it looked like there was a small blond girl with the Kents at Superman's funeral, and that the JL mentioned her name as a possible replacement for him. Perhaps SG will make an appearance later.

I also immediately wondered if that cat was Streaky, but there were no lightning bolts on its flanks.

I couldn't stand Bat-Mite in the comics though!

"Just give them the toy and take me to Jail."
"I kind of liked it when he made the poopy noise."

I loved how Supes basically turned into a little kid when he went back home for Christmas. Lighting the tree... trying to x-ray the presents.

Those little touches are what made this ep good.

Now I'm thinking a "very special holiday episode" of Smallvile is in order.

Supergirl was in S:TAS, and she lives with the Kents.

So instead of Argo City, it's the planet Argos. Not a bad reworking of that concept.

So is there a bottle city of Kandor anywhere in Braniac's lab?

That was a nice episode. I'm glad they paired it up with the Batman holiday episode.

It was a good episode. But does anyone else think Hawkgirl looks weird when she smiles? Not the way she's drawn, just that it's weird to see the character smile...

The snowball fight was funny between HG and GL.

One sticking point about Jonn's visit...He showed up as himself. You would think that he would have gone disguised until he got in the house instead of showing up with Clark Kent. To the public, it would have been kinda weird to see a big green martian super-hero have Christmas with a mild mannered reporter.

jwjody, don't forget that the Kent's live out in the middle of nowhere. There's probably nobody around for a mile or two.

So THAT's why it was only 30 minutes! I was wondering what was up with that.

Can anyone send me a VHS of the Batman episode? I've never seen it.

Thanks!

I lost my superman/batman season passsed when i moved to the new TiVo. And there are soo many reruns of the bad 60's batman show that making a batman whishlist gives me headaches. Anyone know when cartoon network is going to run them again?
