Dead Zone update
(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

USA Network's Dead Zone web site had some recent info.
Apparently, work on the third season has begun with Anthony Michael Hall
writing/producing/directing the first episode. Also, they are still hinting at
an ETA of Summer 2004 (geez, way too long).

We're heading into summer 2004, and still no word? It seems like it's been forever since this show was on last. I feel like I missed a whole season.

Hey that's Kate Warner on the page with Johnny!

ARGH! I guess she'll be ruining yet another show for me... /shudder

I don't know, any woman is a step up from Kim, so I didn't mind Kate very much! :0)
*excited about the Dead Zone*

The problem is that when the season does start it is so short like only a few weeks then it is already the season finale. Already but is just started.

Kate Warner has a 4 or 5 episode story arc as a love interest for Johnny. It should be interesting.

I read the Dead Zone book a long time ago. My question is, how good is this series? I hear good things about it and is it safe to jump in now before June 6th?

Please pardon my thread bump, but I was wondering...has there been any talk at all about releasing season one on DVD? (Or wait, is....are we heading into season 3? I just started watching it a couple of weeks ago-so forgive my confuselment.)

The series has very little to do with the book, other than the premise.
Book and movie spoilerSpoiler Alert! (highlight to read)
Especially since Johnny Smith dies because of his power.
The first thing that stuck me about the series was how dark it wasn't. I was expecting a lot more, maybe along the lines of Angel. Johnny has a gift, but there should have been physical consequences. That seemed to me to be the heart of the book. The fascination of the book and movie was watching him act on his visions in spite of the pain they caused. I watched the 1st couple of episodes, was disappointed, and canceled my SP. But I'll give it another try, and so should you, if only because of the Monk/Dead Zone crossover commercial, and try to judge this series on its own merits.

Get the DVDs and get caught up! I really enjoy this series and I think it'd be a shame to miss the first seasons.

I guess that means they are on DVD, since I asked.

Actually, that crossover commercial was the whole reason I decided to pick up an episode or two and check it out-oddly, because it didn't seem as dark as I'd expected. I get very tired of dramas that are so DRAMATIC. I enjoy Monk and DZ because it is less heavy.

Yeah... that whole "trying to prevent the Apocolypse" storyline on DZ is really light-hearted and fun! ;) :D
Actually it is amazing that they can tackle a subject matter like that and still not be too heavy.

Then maybe it should be called "The NotAsDeadAsYouMightThink Zone" :D
Don't forget that Monk starts with a grisly, sometimes graphic murder, then lightens up. So we know you have a dark side... :)

Yeah, that IS Kate Warner in the "Dead Zone" ads! I guess that means Dana Bright is out. Damn. I love hot redheads, and she was hot.
Boy, CTU really could use someone with John Smith's talents, don't you think?

I didn't know who she was until I went to the site. Now that I see who she is, I think Johnny better watch out because Jack Bauer will come and kick his ass for messing with his lover.

Not necessarily. The site says Sara Wynter is guest-starring in six episodes.

Is the DZ/Monk commercial online? I haven't seen it.
If not, can someone describe it?
