Hey guys just got my tivo finally upgrading its doing its 4-8 hour thing right now. Just would like to know, I get about 40 hours of record time on best quality, 80 something hours on medium, and something like 120 hour or whatever with the lowest quality, so how much of a difference in picture quality is there between each three, is it nasty enough on the lowest one for more hours that its not worth it or what???

We wouldn't be able to say, without looking at what you're using for a source and what type / size / quality TV you have.
And even then, it's subjective. What may be godawful-looking for you might be acceptable to someone else.
Personally, I like to record most of my programs on Medium, and then bump it up to Best for my favorite programs (West Wing). The lowest quality setting is not unwatchable, but it's too poor for my tastes.

So I can tell it which quality to record in for each show, that is pretty cool. I miss my old Dish Network PVR501 but I can settle with Tivo, got the lifetime subscription for it so I wont have to worry about monthly billing and stuff. Well thanks
