Exactly 180 GB anyone?

Hinsdale says Series 2 are okay with the original swap size if you're at 180GB. Has anyone with a S2 and exactly 180GB experienced the GSOD and seen it through to completion?

Originally I thought it would be best to put my 120GB as the A drive, after transferring all my data to it, and giving it the -s 127 swap. Then I would be moving the 60GB to the B drive after wiping it clean.

Maybe it's an old school of thought, but I always believe in putting the largest drive or largest DIMM of RAM in the first position and smaller ones to follow. Does TiVo care?

Adding my 120GB as the B drive would sure save time if I don't have to mess with -s 127 or worry about optimizing the drive positions of the TiVo. Maybe I'm being overly cautious, but I'd hate to see my TiVo die.

Swap File: When increasing your total recording capacity (A+B drives) to over ~140GB (actual threshold number is likely just over 150GB for Series 1 Standalones and over 180GB for DirecTiVos and Series 2 units) the preferable method for upgrade should include a means to increase the swap file so that the built-in TiVo repair utility (GSOD) can complete if ever triggered (rare). Those upgrading to these larger capacities should consider using the Mfs Tools restore option (-s 127 command line parameter increases the swap) outlined in Upgrade Configuration #2 (test image has increased swap already - does not preserve recordings) or Upgrade Configuration #3 (preserves recordings - time consuming) in preference to simply using mfsadd described below to increase recording capacity.

60+120 is known to be OK in Series 2 TiVoes.
