Please Help!
I have a Hughes Tivo with a 40gb Quantum hard drive that keeps restarting. After running tests with Power max, it found bad errors that can not be fixed. So I assumed it had a bad hard drive. I purchased a Western Digital hard drive that is also 40gb. The problem I have is when I try to restore the image, with MFS tools or Tivo mad it tells me that the image is too large to fit on the hard drive. The image is 1.3 gb. The drive is not locked and it reads 40gb on boot up. I have no problem restoring the image to the old drive but it continues to restart after about 4 or 5 minutes. It gets past the acquiring satelite screen and then re boots always between 4 and 5 minutes. I followed Hinsdale's how to guide exactly and I still get the same error. Can you please tell me what I am doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
