GSOD only on first reboots - why?

I have a SA series 2 from TiVo that I just added a 120 [GB] drive to. I used MFS Tools 2.0, and the backup of the initial A drive image to the new drive worked fine (it worked w/o problem in TiVo by itself). I then added the original 40 [GB] drive to the new 120 [GB] drive, i.e. I treated the 120 as the original A (since it had the image on it) and treated the 40 as a new drive .
When I did the original restore to the new 120 drive, I did use the -s 127 option.
What happens now is that everytime I do a cold boot, I get the GSOD. It stays there for about 5 minutes, then reboots fine and appears to work OK (I haven't watched it extensively yet - only 1/2 hour). However, if I do a cold reboot again, the same things happen all over again.
I know that normal usage would not require reboots, but I figure I should check this out in case there really is something bad going on. I've looked at other posts about GSOD, and it appears to maybe be a swap file thing, but none of the other users' problems appear to be the exact same situation (they either fix themselves [permanently] or they loop indefinitely).
Any ideas what's going on and how to resolve?
Thanks

For anyone who reads this thread and has the same problem, after a couple of days of usage (recording, etc.) the issue went away. Oh well.
