I've missed most of this season, but tuned in to Sunday night's repurposed show on USA Network. The blonde prosecutor whose name I can't remember has been supplanted by a brunette whose name I don't yet know.

What happened to the blonde character? Since it's unlikely I'll see the episodes I've missed, please spoil away!

Some bad guys want her dead so she is currently pretending to be just that.

Does that mean she'll return to the show next season or at some point down the road... Or is that unknown?

I thought the new girl was a redhead? Guess maybe I'll have to re-evaluate my crush on her. :)

She could be. I only saw her in that one episode and was writing from memory. Maybe it's brownish-red? She is more attractive than the woman she replaced, IMO. But then again, I prefer dark hair.

She is sort of a red head. Either way, she drives me crazy. Horrible actress and I can only hope that they will replace her asap.

All I have to say is..... CABOT RULES!!!!

I loved her in that role and I am really sad to see her go. Does anybody know why she left? Was it because she wanted to, or the show wanted to change DA's?

I think she's gone for good... But it's good that if someone on the show changes their mind (not sure if it was the show's producers or the actress), at least she has not been completely written off... I was glad to see that they didn't just kill her off...

I was addicted to SVU until the new prosecutor showed up. She really turned me off the show.

im actually way behind on the shows, but i just saw the one where she died. SVU guys found what they thought was a dead hooker. investigation revealed that she was a cop detached to the Feds. She was deep undercover with some drug dealers. SVU ended up busting a druglord for something else just to get him in jail. While in jail, the druglord made all kinds of threats to her and her family. She ended up getting shot and she died, there was even a funeral. Then at the end of the show, SVU gets a message to meet the Feds at a special meeting spot. They show up and the blond prosecuter is there. So they made it seem like she is now going to be in the witness protection program.

I actually like the new ADA. Well, I mean I don't like her, but I think that's the intent--she's an unlikable character, and is a well-written and well-acted unlikable character. So I don't like her in the way that I think I am meant by the show's makers to not like her.

If you know what I mean...

I read somewhere that the actress that played Alex wanted to move on and do other things. Hence the annoying new ADA - I usually dig redheads too, but this chick.....

What I REALLY hate is Goren's new partner on L&O:CI. Now she's a redhead. They even did an episode this week about how a guy can go nuts when his partner goes away....heh

They got rid of Kathryn Erbe. The NBC website still shows her on the show. What happened to her character? Might want to use spoiler tags for the answer. Don't want to upset anyone. :)

She's on maternity leave....

is also on maternity leave, having a baby as a surrogate for her sister. And according to the very end of last Sunday's episode, she just had the "show" baby, but I don't know if the actress actually has or not. According to everything I've heard/read, she'll be back on the show. Hope so, I like her better than the new partner.
