I heard a rumor that you can request tivo send you an episode you may have missed or forgot to record.

Is there any truth to this rumor?

It sounds like a great idea.

Use a wishlist

You can ask on the Now Playing Forum of this site. Someone might be willing to send you a copy.

Otherwise, you can set up a wishlist for "Program Title" "Episode Name"
For example: "Friends" "The One With The Birth Mother"
would catch the 1/8/04 episode of Friends, whenever it came on. Put the title in one set of quotes (pause button) and the episode name in another.
