"Arrested Development" is great!

I finally got a chance to watch "Arrested Devolpment" this week, and I really love it. There are 4 episodes on tonight, and I can't wait to watch them this weekend.

I know what you mean. There is no comedy out there quite like this. I love this show.

Very much agree! I set TiVo to record the first two episodes, "Pilot" & "Top Banana", and tomorrow I'll archive all eps. to DVD-R. It's almost too good to be on network television.

Yes! Another watcher! We have got to send a message to Network television that people still watch and enjoy intelligent well written sitcoms.

I generally dislike all sitcoms but I was intrigued by all the praise Arrested Development was receiving from critis. So I watched the pilot, which I liked ok, then I watched Top Banana which was hilarious and I've been hooked every since. I live in constant fear that it will be canceled.
I love the style of the show and the characters are just quirky enough and just human enough. The only one I could do without is Tobias, whose character is the only one that doesn't seem based in any sort of reality whatsoever.
I'm thinking of writing a letter to Fox to beg them to keep it on the schedule. Anyone know if it has been renewed for next year yet? I'm so enamored, Arrested Development now has the coveted spot at the top of my SP list.

It's got a full season pickup for this year.
It's way too early to expect anything for next season yet.

I've been watching the mini-marathon. The pilot was definitely slow, but setup the whole story. It's been funny, but I've laughed a lot more at "It's All Relative" than "Arrested Development."

Let's see, it's intelligently written, well acted, fun to watch, and on Fox.
It's doomed.

It's fun, but it's too over the top for me. Too depressing. I like a happy ending every now and then, yet each episode seems to end on a downer--the family going deeper and deeper into a hole.

It's my favorite show on TV right now.

Watched the marathon - love it. My two favorite aspects of it are Ron Howard's narration and Tobias (I'll watch David Cross read a phone book - he's hilarious).

Add us to the list of new fans. I recorded the mini-marathon after seeing it on all the "best of 2003" lists... what a nice surprise for the new year, just when our TV comedy choices were feeling stale.
Scrubs had the same kind of hook for me right from the pilot, but I think this is even funnier.

This show was made for TiVo! The episode where Michael picks up the maid is one of the funniest shows I've seen since "Seinfeld" went off the air. Looks like I'll be watching "Alias" live on Sunday for the rest of the season.

Count me in as a fan of the narration. Narration rarely ever works, yet for some reason Ron Howard's narration just makes the show funnier.
Good comedy is few and far between on TV, and this with scrubs is about as good as it gets these days.

Count me as one who did not get it in the beginning, but not think it is the second best comedy on TV (Scrubs is the best).
I only had one comedy on my SP list, now there are two.

Arrested Development is the best sitcom on TV right now. Bernie Mac is right behind it.

I'm not getting it. I guess I need to laugh at a sitcom to find it funny.
There are some funny moments but this is definately a filler show for me when nothing else is sitting in my "Now Playing".

I'm glad I got to watch some of the episodes a second time. Their is so much I missed the first time around.

The one thing that makes me very sad about this show is how well it would have been paired with "Andy Richter Controls the Universe" had it still been on the air.

It's good to know I'm not the only one still lamenting the loss of ARCTU. :(
AD is great, though.
