Does anybody know if any hacks exist that will detect when a TiVo receives a mail message from TiVo and forward it on to an internet e-mail address? I'd love to be able to be able to get notices in a timely manner and I happen to check my e-mail a lot more than my TiVo mail (yeah, I know it's obvious in the TiVo gui when new mail has arrived)... I've seen hacks that let you send mail to a TiVo but not the other way around.

You could have a look at sanderton's excellent DailyMail module as a starting point. The code for viewing TiVo Mail is available in TiVoWeb. You just need to bolt the two together :)

Edit: I just posted some mods I made to sanderton's DailyMail that also send any new TiVo Mail...

LJ (and Stuart), how on earth did this cool module not show up here in the main Underground? I know you blokes need to generate as much traffic over there as you can, but really now! :D Very nice work, both. Cheers!
