DSR6000 - welcome.. powering up
(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

This morning I found my DSR6000 is stuck on "welcome powering up".
My vitals:
Philips Dtivo DSR6000
Upgraded to 2 Maxtor 4G120J6 120GB almost 2 years ago. Been running without a hitch until now.
A search on this forum tells me that I could be having a hard drive failure. So I got Powermax and I will use it to diagnost both drives.
This is my question: I have still the original factory 40 GB hard drive. Can I safely put it back in the Dtivo as a temporary subsitute? (The playoffs are on for god's sake!)

Yes you can put the original drive back in.

Thanks for the reply Len. It's working quite nicely, I'm glad I kept that original 40GB drive.
Powermax found errors on the 120 GB A: drive and gave an error code. It ships out to Maxtor tomorrow. The 120Gb B: drive passed without any problems.
I would like reformat my b: drive and drop an image onto it. Can anyone PM me where to find single drive image for a Philips 6000DSR? Instructions and procedures would be nice too.
I don't want to do a DD (from 40GB to 120 GB) copy again, it just takes too long.
Thanks in advance.
